Then something magic happens and you fall in love with the city all over again. Today that magic was @Matthieu_Blazy’s @ChanelOfficial Metiers d’art show. Inside a decommissioned subway station in Lower Manhattan, the designer presented his second collection, where his playful approach to craftsmanship was on full display: animal prints mixed with signature Chanel tweeds and all-American classics like stonewashed jeans (and Milton Glaser’s classic I ❤️ NY logo tee). Models walked up and down the platform, weaving in and out of trains that filled the station with the same energy familiar to daily commuters—except much, much more glamorous.
