One thing I adore doing is reminiscing … isn’t it funny how moments don’t have the same impact when you’re in them, but we can look back at them and have all kinds of nostalgic emotions, Beyond excited to make more memories like these. @victoriassecret Fashion show is back! 🪽see you there 💕

Possibly sensitive content for some, but the most personal content I’ve ever shared 🤍 ~October 5 th 2016~ The day I became a mother was the most transformative, euphoric and overwhelming day of my life. I had been in labor for 16 hours with my midwife and doctor supporting me throughout my pregnancy and now this moment, half the time at home, in and out of a hot shower, then the last 6 hours at a hospital that had a bath where my first son was born. Where I was reborn. It could be the most scary moment of your life but i felt the strongest and closest to god I’ve ever been. I chose to have my children in Brazil where I felt the most connected to nature and my divine feminine power, and my Doctor and midwife who I found researching medical teams that ensured their best efforts with a completely natural birth with no drugs or intervention were imperative to living this moment the way I wanted it to be. Many people thought I was crazy to want that, Including my family. I wanted to be fully present in that moment, to feel every ache and wave of the contractions, and welcome my son looking at his eyes letting him know I was THERE. With him. Not only does the mother pass through difficulty to birth but so does the baby, from a warm cozy safe space to this big world.. i come from a farm and helped my father with countless births of cattle, of dogs and cats and even chameleons during my childhood so I remember seeing what nature was capable of. Everyone has their own dreams and rights to choose what this experience is for them, and there is no right or wrong way, this was my way. Was it frightening.. yes at times, was it empowering. Completely. I felt as if I could go through or do anything after this. I was not afraid. Mother’s Day reminds me of this strength, and always brings a sense of nostalgia but I’m forever grateful for our experience together. And for the gift of these little lives that enrich my life constantly. Being a mother is hands down the hardest yet most rewarding job of them all. Our bodies are nothing short of magical. As is life. Remember that. Happy Day to those who are mothers, who have lost mothers and are yet to become mothers Xc
