Verdict ⬇ 💎 Share it with someone who might need it! 1) Love the design and flow of the deck. Great images and minimal text = perfect! 2) Solution pages 3 & 4 should be consolidated to 1 page. 3) On the Market Opportunity slide (page 8) - if you’re going to call out expecting to capture >3% of the SAM, then you should share the high-level calculation you used to get to this statement. 4) Go-to-market (page 11) - consider killing this slide. You’ve already gone to market and it’s a boring slide with all the text. If you keep this slide, perhaps use charts/images instead of so much text. The best part of this slide is the fact you’ve already made $600K in sales, but that’s hard to see, and it’s a top 3 things you should show off to investors. 5) Traction slide (page 12) - pretty good page, but highlighting the $600K you’ve already made should be the most important metric. 6) Financial projections (page 13) - kill it. Most sophisticated investors know that projections are all just bullshit in the beginning. It’s good to have this work done for your due diligence support, but not needed in a pitch deck. 7) Ask (page 15) - missing at what valuation. You don’t need to follow through on this, but I’m a fan of getting right to the point. 8) Ask slide - you say you’re putting money towards an office, but that’s not going to get an investor excited. Put up some milestones instead e.g. reduce COGS another 10% by Q2 2025 by doing X. Rating 8 out of 10. Above average deck. Strong team. Great initial traction! #pitchdeck #review #investor #startup
Transportation startup from Nigeria raising $500K at a $5M valuation.
Startup from Nigeria 🇳🇬 raising $250K at a $2.5M valuation. I’m really enjoying doing pitch deck reviews from startups in Africa - it feels like LatAm did back in 2017 i.e., market is ripe, founders are sharp, have low ego, and hungry to learn.
An HR tech startup from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 is raising $1M at a $10M USD valuation. Let’s check out their pitch deck.
