Is the AI boom repeating the dot-com bubble's mistakes? Forensic accountant Anthony Scilipoti explains the "circular" investments. He compares Nvidia and Microsoft investing in their own AI customers (like OpenAI and Core Weave) to the same patterns seen before the Nortel collapse. Credit: The Knowledge Project
At its DevDay keynote, OpenAI announced apps are coming to ChatGPT. The new feature is powered by the Apps SDK, which lets developers build and embed full applications directly inside a conversation. It’s built on an open standard called MCP (Multimodal Conversation Protocol), giving developers full control over both their backend logic and front-end UI. Apps can render anything from interactive inline elements to a full-screen experience. A key part of the SDK is an API that exposes context back to the model, allowing ChatGPT to understand exactly what a user is doing inside an app at any moment.
The ultimate bottleneck for AI compute isn't chips, it's "electrons." Sam Altman gives this one-word answer when asked what's stopping the creation of more GPUs. He clarifies the binding constraint is energy, predicting the long-term solutions will be dominated by fusion and solar. Credit: Conversations with Tyler
Elon Musk predicts apps and operating systems will be gone in 5-6 years. He claims phones will just be "edge nodes" for AI. Instead of clicking on apps, the AI will anticipate what you want and just show it to you. Credit: Joe Rogan Experience
Elon Musk argues that the rapid evolution of video games proves we are almost certainly living in a simulation. In just 50 years, we went from Pong to photorealism. If that trend continues, indistinguishable realities are inevitable. Credit: Nikhil Kamath
If you look at the advancement of video games, in our lifetime, or at least in my lifetime, it's gone from very simple video games where you've got like Pong, you've got two rectangles and a square, just batting it back and forth, to photorealistic, real-time games with millions of people playing simultaneously. And that's happened just in the span of 50 years. So if that trend continues,
