Why are you still writing backend API’s?..
All you have to do is put Postgres in front of your database and it turns your Postgres database directly into a RESTful API, which means that you can just run SQL queries directly from your browser securely. I have this TODOs table and if I want to insert a new TODO, I would execute a SQL query like this.
