Always shoot the shadow side ✨ The shadows in a scene can create depth, texture, and mood — create shadows in the scene by putting the light source perpendicular or opposite to your camera.
Comment “LUT” for the color grade ✨ This is simply the product of great lighting, intentional composition, and cinematic color grading. Three extremely rewarding aspects of cinematography to learn. Shot on: iPhone 17 Pro App name: Blackmagic Camera LUT / Color Grade: HN Signature Cinematic LUTs
This is actually crazy because I did NOT know how useful a stream deck is until I got one. A stream deck or macropad basically works as a programmable extension to your keyboard — you can program every button to execute a specific string of shortcuts, applications, functions… the possibilities are endless. But this one takes it to another level. With four knobs, a swipable screen… it can support multiple pages of button configurations and various shortcut executions, including pasting a string of text. I’m already saving so much time with it! I got this one off of TEMU. Comment “link” and I’ll DM you the TEMU link — you can use the code “dya5228” to get some good deals; only for new app users with qualifying orders! #temuhaul #temufinds #temucodes #streamdeck #tech
Another day, another shadow-side slay ✨ It never gets old for me — just position your lights perpendicular or diagonally opposite your camera, let one side fall into the shadows, and boom… your shot suddenly feels like a movie. Lighting is still one of the most rewarding things I’ve learnt about videography to-date, alongside composition and color grading. Comment “LUT” for the color grade! ✅
